日本有機三河味淋 Organic Mikawa Mirin by the Sumiya Family (150ml)
Mirin is an essential seasoning in Japanese cuisine, adding a mild sweetness to the flavourings of soy sauce and miso. It can be used to add depth and flavour to stir-fries, sauces, noodle broths, soups, marinades and salad dressings in place of sugar.
The Sumiya family is the last of the traditional Mirin makers, using only rice, sweet rice, water and Koji, without any additives or preservatives. Starting as a family shop in 1910, they chose a location in central Japan known for its mild climate, high quality rice and excellent water, where 3 rivers converge and flow into the Bay of Ise. They named their rich and fragrant mirin after this place, called Mikawa, meaning three rivers.
